The Goal

Striving to Make Buildings Carbon Neutral by 2030

Arcadia is committed to helping the American Institute of Architects (AIA) hit its goal of making all new buildings and renovations carbon-neutral by 2030. Our team does this by applying sustainable design principles to every project—from inception through project completion and ongoing building operations.

We also achieve and exceed standards set by:

  • The U.S. Green Building Council
  • The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers
  • The International Green Construction Code
  • CALGreen
We Keep 1,350 Tons of Waste Out of Landfills Each Year

During the past few years, we have dramatically decreased hazardous and non-hazardous waste at our manufacturing facilities. Our efforts have resulted in:

  • Recycling up to 50% of the water consumed in the aluminum anodizing process
  • Using 40%-50% recycled materials in aluminum extrusions
  • Keeping 1,350 tons of solid anodizing waste out of landfills each year
  • Replacing hazardous chemicals with environmentally-friendly products
